The best Arbequina extra virgin olive oil or a work of art?

Romanico Esencia is the perfect combination of both elements.

Every year the Romanico Esencia contest is held where master olive growers from all over Spain compete with their best extra virgin olive oil of the Arbequina variety.
The Tasting Panel of the Generalitat de Catalunya decides the winning oil of the year, and the entire production is purchased from the mill and bottled under the name of Romanico Esencia.

The best Arbequina Oil of the State needed a packaging design for the award category.
A work of art by the American artist based in Barcelona was purchased. Philip StantonThis case was designed, which opens slowly in the shape of a flower to reveal the elegant glass bottle containing the incomparable award-winning olive oil.

On the inner sides of the case you can read the history of the Romanico Esencia Award from its beginnings until today, as well as arbequina olives, which is where the final product comes from.

The bottle and case are hand numbered. The formats are 500ml and 250ml.

The case complies with Spanish labeling regulations, but different changes were made for the countries of destination of this great product.

This pack received the award for best packaging at the Fira de l’Oli Qualitat Verge Extra de Borges Blanques, Les Garrigues.

Today Romanico Essence Olive Oil is sold in South Korea for $150 per unit.
